Trends Aren’t Just About Colors
The biggest shift we saw at KBIS wasn’t dramatic styling. It was smarter functionality.
Slim Shaker Is the New Classic
Traditional shaker is evolving. Instead of bulky frames we now see slimmer rail profiles, softer inside edges, and more refined proportions. This keeps the classic look homeowners love while making it feel current.
Warm White Oak & Natural Wood
White oak dominated the show floor. Not the orange tones of the past, but matte finishes, neutral stains, and soft grain textures that balance coastal homes beautifully.
Integrated Lighting & Seamless Design
Modern kitchens are moving toward LED shelf lighting, hidden toe kick lighting, flush cabinetry, and panel-ready appliances. The kitchen begins to feel architectural rather than assembled.
Smarter Storage Systems
Function is becoming just as important as appearance. Deep drawer storage, pull-out pantry walls, built-in organizers, hidden charging stations, and integrated trash systems are now expected.
Matte, Durable Finishes
High gloss is fading. Instead we see soft matte paint, textured laminates, and anti‑fingerprint surfaces that age better and are more practical for everyday life.
