Restoring History: The 2400 Meeting House Way Project in West Barnstable

Some homes are more than just houses — they’re part of Cape Cod’s story. Our project at 2400 Meeting House Way in West Barnstable was one of those rare opportunities to bring a piece of history back to life. Built in 1804, the property had incredible charm but was in extremely poor condition when we started.

There was no kitchen.
The barn and garage still had old horse stables, bare cement walls, and dirt floors.
Every detail needed attention — from structural improvements to complete interior redesign.

Breathing New Life Into an 1804 Gem

Our goal was to preserve the home’s character while adding all the modern comfort and design that today’s families expect. We approached the renovation with a balance of restoration and innovation — maintaining authenticity while upgrading function.

One of our favorite parts of the project was the original stone wall behind the house. Instead of tearing it down, we decided to save it and continue its story. Using the same stones, we built new retaining walls and even incorporated the same materials into the fireplace, tying the exterior and interior together in one seamless look.

Crafting Kitchens That Connect Generations

Both the main kitchen and the guest house kitchen were completely redesigned and built using Budget Kitchen Cabinets.
We focused on timeless design — clean lines, durable finishes, and practical layouts — perfectly blending modern living with the home’s historic style.

Modern Comfort Meets Historic Soul

We also installed a new pool, designed to complement the property’s architecture and natural surroundings, creating a perfect Cape Cod retreat for family and friends.

The result is a home that feels both old and new — a beautiful example of how thoughtful renovation can preserve history while embracing comfort and style.

At Budget Kitchen Cabinets, we believe every project deserves this level of care — whether it’s restoring an 1800s farmhouse or building a modern coastal kitchen from scratch.
